Jan 10, 2010 - @DannWoodhouse I've seen a few of these clips in this theatre, and the recorded shows are definitely different. Perhaps these are a rehearsal or something? Interesting. I'd like to know.

Jan 17, 2010 - I used to listen to The Goons on the radio when I lived in New York in the seventies. I never laughed so hard. I found a bunch of shows on MP3 and listen to them all the time. To actually SEE The Goons is outstanding! Thanks for posting.

Mar 4, 2010 - None of these were rehersals. Each programme was recorded infront of a live audience, then edited for broadcast a few days later. Hope this helps. And a "ying tong iddle I po" to one and all

Mar 19, 2010 - Thanks ta455driver for posting this. My dad was actually in the Ray Ellington Quartet (the dude on the white double bass!) and I have been trying to find a full length copy of this clip for years. Where did you get it from? Would anyone know where I could get a copy?

May 25, 2010 - The Goonshow is still on very early morning radio here. Sellers is always brilliant, and there are still some laugh out loud moments, but the show often is 90% unintelligable gibberish from Harry Secombe.
LoveShiaGDSN Says:
Jun 4, 2010 - this is GENIUS. I wanted to look them up because they mention them in every Beatles bio that I've read. this makes me really glad that I looked them up :D and I totally understand all the references they make to The Goons when describing of John Lennon's humor.
