Unfortunately, only one episode of the television series 'Hancock's Half Hour' which included Kenneth Williams, survives, and this is the main comedy scene from it. Titled 'The Alpine Holiday', it was first broadcast on April 1st 1957. Both men eventually committed suicide... - 'I've got the biggest yodel in Dulwich' - 'Amazing...a man of your build.' .

May 24, 2009 - i thought there might have been a ripple of applause when the "snide" character made his only tv episode entrance...why Williams agreed to do this is strange.Mind you i don't think he refused a "carry on" either
scallyhunter Says:
Jun 14, 2009 - it was his break with the BBC after lots of letters begging them to give him a chance. with only one (?) tv station at the time, this was probably his only chance to get on the telly.

Aug 16, 2009 - At least neither of them shagged a horse, like Peter Firth, you fucking sad tosser.......
PeterFirthFan Says:
Aug 16, 2009 - Neither did Peter, but at least he's still alive unlike the unfunny alcoholic mental loser Hancock.
PrivateSchulz Says:
Aug 16, 2009 - I sense a degree of anger towards homosexuals. Molested by one as a boy were we ? Or is it maybe a bit of self loathing instead, you sorry git.
PeterFirthFan Says:
Aug 16, 2009 - No, I'm just glad that violent abusive scumbag Hancock got the real life ending he deserved.
PrivateSchulz Says:
Aug 16, 2009 - Why did he deserve it? What terrible offence was it punishment for, pray tell?
PeterFirthFan Says:
Aug 16, 2009 - He was a violent drunk like Tommy Cooper. Without Galton & Simpson, Hancock had nothing.
leatherpuppy78 Says:
Aug 23, 2009 - Oi! You don“t like it then dont watch it and fuck off Peter fuucking Firth Fan. Go shag Peter Firth instead. Those who mock gay guys usually are closet gays themselves in my experience!
drdawn86 Says:
Aug 31, 2009 - Kenneth was not a closeted homosexual like Rock Hudson, Frankie Howerd, Bogarde even Wilfred Brambell. He was a tortured homosexual. A closeted homosexual creates a facade to hide it and Williams did not do so. Secondly for the early part of his life it was illegal and it was a criminal offence up until 1967- so most people were forced to stay in the closet or risk blackmail or prison. Thirdly Hancock was straight. Fourthly your comment is diversionary and irrelevant to the sketch.
drdawn86 Says:
Aug 31, 2009 - You appear to be speakng as if you have had personal experience of Hancock as opposed to the knowledge you own being gifted to you by a secondary source. Hancock's wife tried to commit suicide four times and he was a egocentric tyrant but I personally cannot muster up any emotion over his behaviour because I did not know the man. I find TH life more interesting than his comedy but I love KW humor . You must be scary to be around and prone to rage if a dead comic evokes such vitriol.
PeterFirthFan Says:
Sep 4, 2009 - Hancock wasn't straight, he was a homosexual.
gamesbok Says:
Sep 16, 2009 - Hancock was straight. Believe it or not. Investigate his relationship and conflict with John Lemesurea and Hatty Jakes.
thesethreekings Says:
Sep 28, 2009 - Dude, *you* must be pretty scary to be around if your main interests are "Serial Killers, Animation, Comedy, Camp Performers, Horror, Charles Mason, Patrick Hernandez and being the Devil's Advocate"...

Nov 26, 2009 - If you get the chance to listen to or buy the Hancock's half hour radio shows, Kenneth Williams is a regular with his catchphrase "aw no....don't be like that!!!" Everyone know's it's coming, but it's still hillarious!!

mandypjackson Says:
May 19, 2009 - the personal lives of people are what effects most of us, you may not find it so funny when the actor who makes you laugh goes out and shags your wife or goes home and beats up his own wife and kids. we have comments on youtube for this reason otherwise all the comments would say the same thing ( funny) (not funny) etc etc
